Estate Reserve
In the year 2004, grape grower Charlie Barra completed his 59th harvest. As you drink these rich, complex estate reserve wines, think of the hands that have planted and cared for the vines, bringing the grapes to maturity year after year...hands that punched down the "cap" to give the wine more complex flavors, and even the hands of the coopers in France who made the three different kinds of oak barrels in which the wines were aged. These are wines brimming with the grower's and winemaker's passion and skills. Enjoy, and raise your glass to Charlie's 59th harvest!
Silver medal winner at the 2008 Dallas Morning News Wine Competition and the Pro Wine Buyer's Competition. Bronze at the 2009 San Francisco Chronicle! This wine is very well balanced with smooth, supple tannins that seem to caress the palate with flavors of black cherry, cassis, mocha, cedar spice and vanilla. Bronze medal winner at the San Francisco Chronicle 2012 Wine Competition, and Gold Medal winner at the Mendocino County Wine Competition!
